Holland Gateway hosts round table meeting concerning knowledge economy with Minister Leers of Immigration and Asylum. Wednesday saw the assembly of some of the top players in the field of internationalization and immigration in the Netherlands to participate in a round table discussion with the Dutch Minister for Immigration and Asylum, Mr. Gerd Leers. Holland Gateway was the minister’s venue of choice for the meeting with executive director Micaela dos Ramos and other stakeholders.
The other stakeholders to participate in the meeting were Mrs. Pauline Genee, director of Expatcenter Amsterdam, Mr. Raoul Oberman, president of the American Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Pauline van der Meer Mohr, president of the Executive Board of Erasmus University, Mr. Coks Stoffer, general director of CISCO Systems Netherlands, Maarten de Groof, Executive Vice-President and COO of Schiphol Group, Mr. Rob van Lint, chief executive of the Immigration and Naturalization Service IND, Mr. Wilbert van der Griendt, director of client management for Economic Migration IND, Mr. Sjef Roovers, deputy director execution UWV Werkbedrijf and Mr. Serv Wiemers, member of the management team of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the knowledge migrant scheme’s ability of contributing to the government’s ambition of positioning the Netherlands as a knowledge economy. |
