A group of 12 representatives of different Mexican government bodies were in The Netherlands to visit innovative environmental technology projects and engage in business meetings with Dutch technology providers. The matchmaking meetings were organized in 3 different locations, namely the regions Amsterdam, Enschede and Groningen, one for each day of the programme.
The mission was inaugurated at Holland Gateway with speeches from Mr. Henk Rieff, representative of the Ministry of Environmental Affairs (VROM) and Mr. Alejandro Saldívar von Wuthenau, director of PROMEXICO BENELUX.

Background: To further expand the collaboration between Mexico and the Netherlands, the Dutch government –through Agentschap NL of the Ministry of Economics- regularly invites decision makers from foreign public institutions to the Netherlands in a highly compact visiting program. The mission consisted of a series of technical visits and bilateral meetings with Dutch companies active in broad area of environmental technologies and formed an ideal platform to explore joint innovation projects and business development. The event proved an excellent opportunity to meet the key players in the environmental industry of both countries, to share experiences and to come away with a deeper knowledge of best practices in the sector.
