Working in the Netherlands

Holland Gateway may connect you to our network partners who specialise in immigration matters should you need specific assistance.

The Dutch Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND) describes working immigrants in Holland in two general categories: labour migrants (those who usually require a work permit) and highly skilled migrants (who are exempted from the work permit requirement). In Dutch, the highly skilled migrant is called “de kennismigrant”.

Only employers can apply for work permits for non-EU nationals.  To explain the procedure click here for a brochure.
