Staying in the Netherlands – housing options
There are various housing options for your stay in the Netherlands, what is most beneficial for you would depend on the length of your intended stay.

Hotels/Executive suites
If you do not plan to stay longer tan 3 months, there are comfortable hotels and executive suites which are designed for business visitors use, everywhere in Holland.

Rental
Renting a place is a good option when you intend to stay longer or when you are not certain how long you will be staying.
Rent is usually due on a monthly basis with deposit (generally 1 or 2 months rent).  A real estate agent assisting you to search for suitable housing would normally charge you a fee of 1 or 2 times the monthly rent value.

Buying a property
Buying a property is generally beneficial when you plan to stay in your Dutch housing for more than 5 years. The costs of purchasing property amount to approximately 8-10% of the purchase price which includes the 6% real estate transfer tax, the notary fee and 1-2% real estate agency fees.
